RECITAL EXAMINATION
· There are no qualifications for the Recital Examination. · Candidates should present to the examiner a typed programme listing the order of the works to be performed, timings and a copy of all the pieces performed. · Memorisation is not Obligatory. · Candidates are expected to be dressed appropriately (ie No leisure wear).
· Entries. Entries for the Recital Examination must be made on the Recital / Diploma Entry Form. · Examination Dates. The Recital Examination will held by the BCA at all local centres. · Closing Dates for Entry. All Entry Forms must reach the BCA at least FIVE WEEKS before the advertised date of examination. The entry fees are as per the entry form. · Late Entries. Late Entries will be accepted up to FOUR WEEKS before the advertised date of the examination, on payment of a Late Entry Fee. · Withdrawals. Withdrawals will be accepted only if made in writing and received at the BCA at least THREE WEEKS before the examination date. In this case a candidate may enter for the examination at the next (only) Recital examination session on payment of a Re-Registration Fee (see entry form for details). Failure to comply with this rule will result in the Entry Fee being forfeited. · Absence. Candidates who do not present themselves for examinations at the appointed times will automatically forfeit the Examination Fee. In the case of illness a doctors certificate must be forwarded to the BCA within TWO WEEKS. The candidate may then re-enter for the same examination at the next (only) Recital examination session on payment of a Re-Registration Fee. · Conduct in the Examination Room. Only the examiner, the Candidate and a page turner (if required) are allowed in the examination room. Smoking is not allowed. All forms of irregular aids are PROHIBITED. · Marks. No Marks are awarded for this examination. The RECITAL is either AWARDED or NOT AWARDED. · Examiners Decision. In all matters relating to the actual examination the Examiners' decisions are final.
